The Program
Operation Holiday Cheer acknowledges the sacrifices being made by the children of all military
families living in New England or New York including the Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserves,
Army, Navy , Air Force and Marines by offering them a holiday gift. At the request of a member of a
military family, Operation Holiday Cheer will provide an age and gender appropriate gift to each
child ranging from newborn to age 16. Each participating military family will be required to make
the request between September 1 through November 1 and include the name, age, and gender of each
participating child, the address that the package will be shipped to and the name, email address,
service, rank and unit of the military service person. Registration can be done by calling our
offices at (207) 221-0296 or can be done online.
Although our goal is to provide each child a holiday gift, they will be provided on a first-come,
first-served basis and requests will be filled based upon the amount of funding that is raised in

The holiday gift provided will be a top-quality product from a major manufacturer
(Mattel, Hasbro, Matchbox, etc.). Gifts will begin shipping on December 1 in order to arrive
in time for the Holiday Season.
Gifts will be shipped between December 1 and December 15. Upon being shipped, the recipient will receive an
email with the ship date and estimated receipt date. (Please note - if there are several children
registered in a family, the gifts will not necessarily ship on the same day). If funding is not
available to accommodate all requests, registrants that will not receive a holiday gift will be
notified by December 1.
